Who are the star guests you will get the chance to learn from at Camp of Hip-Hop? It’s time to introduce the world-famous dancehall queen Laure Courtellemont!
Originally from Paris, Laure shares her time between Los Angeles and London, while traveling the globe to teach at dance conventions in more than 35 countries. 🌍 She has also developed online intensive programs, one-on-one training methods, and between 2006 and 2011 worked with more than 1,000 dancers worldwide.
Laure specializes in the dancehall vibe, culture, and technique. Her passion and dedication are widely recognized, and with her unique blend of originality, vision, grace, sensuality, femininity, and strength, she makes dancehall accessible to everyone. 😉
Her love for Jamaican rhythms keeps her pushing boundaries, creating and collaborating to open countless opportunities both for herself and others. Laure Courtellemont is a name known worldwide — she has choreographed and collaborated with artists such as Chris Brown, Ciara, Major Lazer, and was the first to bring dancehall to prime-time TV on “So You Think You Can Dance.”
She is not only an artist but also a creative director, having built shows for the Nations League, the Champions League Opening Ceremony, and concerts for artists like Ya Levis, Farruko, Luis Fonsi, Vivi, and many more. Her YouTube videos have millions of views and fans from all over the world. 🙌
Who are the star guests you will be able to learn from at Camp of Hip-Hop? Now it’s time to reveal more about the legendary Henry Link! 👇
Hailing from Brooklyn, Henry Link is a founding member of Elite Force Crew and one of the most charismatic figures in the art of freestyle dancing — a true pioneer of hip-hop culture. He first joined Camp of Hip-Hop in 2019.
Henry discovered hip-hop when he saw his older sister dancing to the beat. Soon after, he became fascinated by styles like Locking, Popping, Freestyle, and Breaking, determined to master them through relentless practice, never discouraged by mistakes or setbacks. 🙌
His natural talent quickly became evident, and he started winning local talent shows. At 18, right after graduation, Henry met Rosie Perez — a turning point that launched his career in dance and choreography. The rest is history: today we know him from music videos with Michael Jackson and Mariah Carey.
The world-famous Elite Force Crew was formed in 1992 on the set of Michael Jackson’s “Remember the Time” music video. The term Elite was used to describe the dancers in the front lineup, including Buddha Stretch, Loose Joint, and Henry Link, who became the driving Force of the choreography. Their exposure from that video skyrocketed the crew’s fame. Founded with three members, Elite Force later grew into a six-member group with the additions of Ejoe Wilson, Brooklyn Terry, and Bobby Mileage.
This hip-hop legend is truly someone special to meet! 😍
